Pick Up The Pieces
Pick Up The Pieces was recorded in 2005 at Master Groove Studios in Northridge, California, marking a pivotal transition from collaboration to solitude. Rooted in acoustic soul, the album carries an intimate warmth while allowing space for quiet expansion—songs that feel close, personal, and intentionally unguarded.
Written largely during Nic’s college years and his time with the band Shortline, the material began as private reflections rather than songs meant for a release. After the band disbanded, moving to Los Angeles became a moment of recalibration. Pick Up The Pieces emerged from that shift—gathering the solo material he had been holding onto and giving it a home.
The album is less about starting over than continuing forward. It documents the process of taking what remains after change—emotionally and creatively—and shaping it into something honest, reflective, and grounded.
